Waitangi Day
Held on the weekend before Waitangi Day in New Zealand, this is our largest event of the year. Waitangi Day is a time for expats, Canadian Kiwis (aka. Caniwis) and those with Kiwi links to come together and celebrate what it is to be a New Zealander, enjoy some of the food and drink comforts of home, indulge in a yarn and raise some money for a cause that sits at the centre of our identity. Everyone is welcome to attend, the event giving Canadians a first-hand experience for what New Zealand culture is all about.
Summer Picnic
Our mid-year BBQ is a family friendly chance to connect with other Kiwis in Vancouver. We’ll throw some sausages on the BBQ, and maybe add some other kiwi treats! Previous years have included pavlovas, a Vogel toast station, a kiwi lolly scramble and more.

Christmas celebration
In 2017 we threw a Kiwi Quiz Night to encourage a little bit of friendly competition between Kiwis, and friends. There were spot prizes and games throughout the night to encourage teams to get involved with our quiz winners taking home prizes kindly donated by our sponsors.
